GeomorphIS, LLC has been awarded a subcontract by Jacobs Project Management Company to provide environmental support services on the Los Angeles Regional Interoperable Communications System (LA-RICS). The first delivery order is to review 120 project sites, create habitat maps, conduct botanical and sensitive species surveys, and prepare biological assessment reports.
GeomorphIS, LLC as been awarded a delivery order under our Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) natural resources IDIQ contract to conduct brown-headed cowbird trapping at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego County, California, during the 2014 season. The purpose of this task order is to enhance reproduction and recovery of the federally endangered Least Bell’s Vireo and Southwestern Willow Flycatcher through prevention of nest parasitism by the brown-headed cowbird (Molothrus ater).
GeomorphIS, LLC has been awarded a task order to provide Inventory Forester services to the US Bureau of Land Management, Medford District in western Oregon. The GeomorphIS Inventory Forester is helping the District Silviculture Forester with Resource Management Plan vegetation modeling review; migration of MicroStorms (M*S) data and helping with M*S applications; updating M*S and Forest Operations Inventory data; and performing related tasks.
GeomorphIS has been awarded a task order under our Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) natural resources IDIQ contract to conduct the FY14 Smith’s blue butterfly survey at Naval Support Activity Monterey, California. The Smith’s blue (Euphilotes enoptes smithi). This federally listed endangered species occurs in fragmented populations along the Central Coast of California, primarily associated with sand dune habitat.
