US Forest Service Awards GeomorphIS Biological Surveys Services IDIQ Contract

The US Forest Service, Coronado National Forest (Arizona) has awarded GeomorphIS one of two Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to conduct biological surveys and prepare reports (Biological Assessments and Biological Evaluations; BAs/BEs) on the Forest. The contract is for one base-year and up to four option-years, with a maximum potential value of $1,000,000. Task orders will be issued for various projects over the contract period of performance. This contract was a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside.

GeomorphIS Provides CRAM Wetland Services

GeomorphIS principal scientist, Bruce F. Goff, PhD, has completed training in the California Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM) for wetlands (general module and vernal pools module) and is now a designated “trained practitioner” according to the California Wetland Monitoring Workgroup,  L2 Committee. “CRAM is a cost-effective and scientifically defensible rapid assessment method for monitoring the conditions of wetlands throughout California. It is designed for assessing ambient conditions within watersheds, regions, and throughout the State. It can also be used to assess the performance of compensatory mitigation projects and restoration projects.” (CRAM website: www.cramwetlands.org). GeomorphIS Tasked to Provide Environmental Planning Support to BLM-OR Roseburg Office

The BLM-Oregon Roseburg District Office has tasked GeomorphIS to provide a short-term Environmental Planner to support the District’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) activities. The GeomorphIS Environmental Planner will coordinate efforts on the rollout of the 2016 Resource Management Plan (RMP); prepare Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Categorical Exclusions (CXs) for various projects; and review field office NEPA documents.
