eCoastal
Database for Los Angeles Shoreline Data
GeomorphIS is supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Los Angeles
District by building and implementing an ESRI geodatabase for the Coast of
California Storm and Tidal Waves Study (CCSTWS). The eCoastal database schema
was developed by USACE as an enterprise geodatabase solution for the management
of coastal resource information. In addition to constructing the database,
GeomorphIS developed a standardized mapping template for the District,
and is creating map figures and providing technology transfer and training
to USACE staff.
|
Environmental
Management GIS Services
GeomorphIS provides GIS services to Tetra Tech ECI for Naval Facilities (NAVFAC)
environmental monitoring and restoration and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC)
activities at California installations including Hunters Point, Alameda, Concord,
Miramar, North Island, and Moffett. GIS is used to create graphics and maps
for the Navy, regulators, and for public information. Processing includes querys
of
the master Oracle database, aerial photography incorporation into GIS, and
collaboration with subject matter experts, deriving spatial analysis layers
such as contamination plumes and groundwater contours. |
Navy
Medical Center San Diego
Hazardous Materials Business Plan Mapping
GeomorphIS provided GIS and mapping support for approximately three dozen Navy
medical and dental clinics in sSouthern California. Mapping products
are included in the Navy's Hazardous Materials Business Plans, as well as Storm
water Management, and Pollution Prevention Plans. Data in various formats,
including CAD, GIS, and TIF were gathered
as well as field data for features such as hazardous materials, storm
drains, hydrants, and wells. |

AMOR
Ministries
ArcPad Project Mapping and Tracking Field Data Collector
AMOR is a non-profit company that builds homes for disadvantaged families in
Mexico. GeomorphIS integrated GIS and GPS
technologies and produced an ESRI ArcPad application to
map construction locations and track construction activities. Custom
forms were created for field staff to organize and track processes
and materials. Field
data are now efficiently transferred to the office database for mapping and
reporting. |

Marine
Corps Air Station Miramar
Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP)
GeomorphIS provided GIS analysis and mapping
products for the MCASM INRMP, assessing
relationships between the military mission and
impacts on biological resources and concerning topics
such as land use and training area constraints; vernal
pools; and distributions of species of special concern
such as Willowy Monardella, California Gnatcatcher,
and Least Bell's Vireo. |

US
Navy Installation
Environmental Monitoring GIS Services
GeomorphIS provided data analysis services to our partner Sullivan International
Group in support of US Navy installation remediation efforts. This includes
conversion of monitoring well and chemical data
to GIS formats, creation of groundwater elevation contours,
Kriging of chemical data to produce groundwater contamination
plumes, and map production for quarterly reports. |
Joint
Protection Enterprise Network (JPEN) Project
JPEN is a rapidly prototyped, command and control capability designed to prevent
security attacks at Department of Defense facilities through the
sharing of integrated Force Protection Information.
Working with New Age Systems, GeomorphIS provided GIS support that included
ESRI ArcIMS Internet mapping and ArcSDE spatial database products. |
Orangutan
Foundation International (OFI)
GIS and GPS Support
OFI is dedicated to the conservation of wild orangutans and their rainforest
habitat and also operates Camp Leakey, an orangutan research area within Tanjung
Puting National Park in southern Borneo,
Indonesia. GeomorphIS supported OFI by
providing h ESRI GIS software support and training and the collection
of GPS (global positioning system) landcover and habitat data in
Tanjung Puting National Park.
