Scope of Project

GeomorphIS staff and subcontractors prepared technical reports needed to support NEPA documentation for the Loomis Ranch and Camp Trask hazardous fuels reduction projects on the Angeles National Forest. The technical analyses included botanical and faunal (wildlife), hydrology and soils, air quality and visual quality surveys and assessments.

The project team consisted of biologists, watershed and soils scientists, an air quality specialist, landscape architects, GIS specialists, among others. GeomorphIS oversaw subcontractor biological field surveys and development of the Biological Assessment/Biological Evaluation documents for each of the two fuels management sites. In addition, GeomorphIS developed the project database, prepared field survey maps, and maps for the final reports.
