GeomorphIS will conduct seasonal surveys of invertebrates and endangered plants (Lane Mountain milkvetch; Astragalus jaegerianus) on Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California. This is a continuation of similar surveys conducted in past years on the station.

GeomorphIS and subcontractor biologists will conduct annual surveys and monitoring of the federally endangered Stephen’s Kangaroo Rat (Dipodomys stephensi) on Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment Fallbrook, California.

NAVFAC SW Tasks GeomorphIS for Wetland Restoration

GeomorphIS and team member Apex Contracting and Consulting, Inc. will perform hydrologic design and earth shaping required to restore parts of a wetland on Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, California.

NAVFAC SW Awards GeomorphIS Team Task to Conduct Invasive Plant Removal.

GeomorphIS and team member ACS Habitat Management will conduct invasive plant removal and treatment at Naval Base Ventura County, California.

National Park Service Tasks GeomorphIS to Perform Soil Analysis

GeomorphIS and teaming partner, San Diego State University, Soil Ecology and Restoration Group (SERG), will conduct soil analysis for the National Park Service (NPS), Mojave Desert Network Inventory and Monitoring (MOJN I&M) Program according to their Integrated Upland (IU) protocol . During this 3-year task order, the GeomorphIS team will conduct lab analysis on hundreds of soil samples provided by NPS field teams. GeomorphIS will provide NPS with a database of standard soil properties for the sample sets.

NAVFAC SW Choses GeomorphIS to Provide Least Tern Protection

GeomorphIS and team member Kidd Biological Inc. will monitor, trap, and relocate predators (known or suspected) of federally endangered California Least Tern (Sternula antillarum browni) at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, California. GeomorphIS team biologists will also conduct surveys of breeding population of burrowing owls on the station.
