USFS Awards GeomorphIS Task Order for PNF Mapes Botany Survey

The US Forest Service has tasked GeomorphIS and teaming partner Pyramid Botanical Consultants (PBC) to conduct a one-year botany survey for the scoped species including invasive plants within the Crocker Units of the Mapes Project Area, Beckwourth Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest.  These surveys cover vascular plants and special habitats. GeomorphIS-PBC will conduct the field surveys when plants are at an optimum phase of phenology for identification purposes. The botanical crews will survey 3,253 acres during 2019.

The US Forest Service has awarded GeomorphIS and team member Pyramid Botanical Consulting (PBC)  a task order to conduct one-year botany survey for scoped species including invasive plants within the Claremont Vegetation Management Project Area, Mt. Hough Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest. The total survey area is 1,630 acres. The survey will be conducted during the 2019 field season when the plants are at an optimum phase of phenology for identification purposes.

GeomorphIS to Conduct SW Willow Flycatcher Surveys on San Bernardino NF

The US Forest Service has tasked GeomorphIS and team member Tanner Environmental Services (TES) to conduct presence/absence surveys for Southwestern Willow Flycatcher (SWWF) in the Lytle Creek Recreation Residence Tract of the San Bernardino National Forest. The permitted biologist will follow US Fish and Wildlife protocols for the 2019 surveys.

Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes Task GeomorphIS to Prepare Level II HABS Report

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes has tasked GeomorphIS to perform and conduct a Level II Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) documentation and Memorandum of Agreement for the Old Clinton Indian Hospital, Clinton, Oklahoma.  GeomorphIS partners US West Research, Inc. and fraserdesign  will conduct the historic research and site documentation for this project.
