BLM Tasks GeomorphIS to Conduct Cultural Resources Inventory in Montana

GeomorphIS and our teaming partners, Hope Archaeology, Inc. and U.S. West Research, Inc., will conduct a cultural resources inventory of a 206-acre site along the Upper Madison River, Montana. This is a follow on to the survey we conducted at an adjacent 350-acre site earlier this summer for the US Bureau of Land Management, Dillon Field Office, Montana.

NAVFAC SW Awards GeomorphIS Least Tern Protection Task Order

GeomorphIS has been awarded a task order, under our ongoing SBMASC natural resources IDIQ contract, to conduct weekly surveys of the federally endangered California least tern (Sternula antillarum browni) at the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, California. Known or suspected predator species will be monitored and removed from the area if they threaten the terns during the 2016 breeding season. This is a follow-on to our team’s successful completion of a previous monitoring/removal task order in 2015, with team member, Kidd Biological, Inc.

US Forest Service Awards GeomorphIS NEPA Task Order

GeomorphIS has been tasked to complete National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis for the Wallow West Landscape Prescribed Fire, Alpine and Springerville Ranger Districts, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests (A-SNFs), Arizona. GeomorphIS assembled a highly qualified team of NEPA planners, hydrologists, foresters, fire-fuels specialists, and wildlife biologists to prepare the Environmental Assessment documents and related specialist reports for the project.
