GeomorphIS Provides Angeles National Forest IDT Team NEPA Support

The USDA Forest Service awarded GeomorphIS a GSA task order to provide an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), including a project manager, hydrologist, earth scientist, biologist, heritage specialist, and engineer, to assist the Angeles National Forest (ANF) in review and recommendations pursuant to compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). ANF is currently managing several large utility construction projects that require regular coordination with agency and utility staff. The two largest projects are Barren Ridge with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project by Southern California Edison. There are also several smaller scale project applications from both SCE and LADWP that are necessary to maintain critical infrastructure, or comply with regulatory requirements.
