GeomorphIS to Survey Tortoises and Bats at NAF El Centro

NAVFAC SW has tasked GeomorphIS to conduct an assessment of the potential occurrence of desert tortoises on portions of the Naval Air Facility (NAF) El Centro, Imperial County, California, and also to conduct an inventory of the bats across all of the NAF El Centro training lands. The survey and resulting data will provide more detailed information regarding the potential occurrence of Federal and State listed endangered and/or threatened desert tortoise and/or bat species (or species of concern) and assist the Navy and NAF El Centro in their effort to conserve native wildlife in accordance with the NAF El Centro Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). GeomorphIS and its partners, the San Diego Natural History Museum (SDNHM), and Conservation Science Research & Consulting (CSRC), will implement the project.
