USFS Awards GeomorphIS RCRX Cultural Inventory, Apache-Sitgreaves NFs

The USDA Forest Service (USFS) has awarded a Land Management Integrated Resources (LMIR) BPA task order to the GeomorphIS-Harris Environmental Group team to conduct a cultural survey as part of the larger prescribed burn project located within the Rodeo-Chediski wildfire area, within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Arizona. The Rodeo-Chediski Fire consumed 166,400 acres of National Forest System land in 2002. Work in the survey units consists of inventorying 4,690 acres within the Rodeo-Chediski burn area, recording isolated occurrences and new sites, and monitoring or re-recording previously recorded sites within and adjacent to the survey area. An inventory report, GIS data entry, and data entry into the Heritage NRM Mobile Database will be required for this project.
